I’ve always known that a trademark is a word, symbol, design, or combination thereof, which identifies a particular brand, service, company, or individual, but have you ever looked close enough to find the hidden meaning of the logo? Below are some interesting tidbits on some common logos.
TOSTITOS In looking at the center of the logo, you can see two people enjoying a Tostito chip with a bowl of salsa.
FORMULA 1 If you look closely at this logo, you will see the number 1 in the space between the F and the red stripes. This logo indicates a feeling of speed.
MILWAUKEE BREWERS The logo for the professional baseball team, the Milwaukee Brewers, is made up of the letters M and B, which forms a baseball glove.
NORTHWEST AIRLINES On this logo, you can see the letters N and W, the first two letters of the brand name. But also, the compass points to the Northwest, another reference to the brand name.
AMAZON This logo gives a little insight into the philosophy behind the brand. First of all, the yellow swoosh looks like a smile, which indicates that they want to have the best customer satisfaction. The swoosh also connects the letters a and z, meaning that this store has everything from a to z.
TOBLERONE Toblerone is a chocolate-company from Berne, Switzerland, which is often called “The City Of Bears”. If you look closely at the Toblerone logo, you will see that they have incorporated a silhouette of a bear.
BASKIN ROBINS The pink parts of the BR form the number 31, which is a reference to the 31 flavors.
FEDEX Do you see an arrow on the FedEx logo? It is white and is located between the letters E and X.
